Nemanja Vidic – probably the smartest player in the world

Today, Nemanja Vidic, the outstanding central defender at Manchester United, exhibited the imagination required to be a soccer genius. And not for his opening goal against the hapless Chelsea. But for the third goal, in which he played a sublime block, allowing teamate Berbatov to bury Chelsea in a three zero tomb.  Before the perfectly executed set piece, he conferred with Berbatov, explaining to him how he was going to execute the block on Berbatov’s marker, drawing his own marker, Terry of Chelsea, into his sticky little trick. It was not seen by the match sportscasters. Too busy celebrating the goal. If you can find it, it’s worth the look.
